Make sure you get all the options and settings for the Spin right after you
make the Spin because the menu disappears after you start another
operation in Blender.
In the Spin menu, you find an option called “Use Duplicates“ that doesn't
connect the Spin's copies. It works like a rotation based Array.
4.7 Proportional editing
The transformations we apply to any polygon elements in Blender take
full effect on selected elements; they will not influence anything at their
surroundings if not selected. For instance, if you choose a couple of
vertices from a polygon with hundreds of vertices and press the S key, it
will apply a scale only to the selected vertices.
What if you also wanted to apply transformations to surrounding vertices
with a lower influence? You can do that with the Proportional Editing
tools. The option is available at the 3D Viewport header, and you can
also enable it with the O key (Figure 4.32).
